Young Men Rising (YMR) is designed to empower young men of color to embrace a vision for their life with the understanding that they have agency and the opportunity to better themselves and their community while gracefully taking on the challenges and successes of life. 

 

YMR guides the Young Men to be deep thinkers as well as intentional leaders and supporters. Discussions and activities promote self awareness, empathy, problem solving, social/emotional development, character development, creativity, compassion, and play.

 

YMR aligns with the Elk Grove Unified School District Targeted Supports Strategic Goal.
